The Data Owner is guaranteed the exercise of the following rights:

a) Right of rectification: right to obtain rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. If the data is incomplete, the data owner is entitled to have his personal data completed, by means of an additional declaration;
b) Right to data portability: right to receive the personal data that concerns you and that you have provided to the data steward, in a structured format, in common use and automatic reading, and the right to transmit that data to another data steward without the data steward being able to prevent it, provided that: (i) the processing is based on consent or a contract and if the processing is carried out by automated means;
c) Right of opposition: right to object at any time, for any reasons related to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you, if processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by MACHADO & MONTEIRO, LDA ., or by third parties, unless the latter presents compelling and legitimate reasons for such treatment that prevail over the data owner’s interests, rights and freedoms, or for the purposes of declaring, exercising or defending a right in a judicial suit. e) Right to treatment limitation: right to obtain treatment limitation, if (i) you contest the accuracy of personal data, during a period that allows the data steward to verify its accuracy; or if (ii) the processing is illegal and the data owner opposes to the deletion of personal data and requests, in return, to limit its use; or if (iii) the data steward no longer needs personal data for processing purposes, but that data is required by the data owner for the purposes of declaring, exercising or defending a right in a judicial proceeding; or if (iv) having exercised the right to object, until it is settled that the legitimate motives of the data steward override those of the data owner.

The Data Owner can exercise any of his rights, identified above, by contacting MACHADO & MONTEIRO, LDA., Preferably, by e-mail headoffice@rentauto.pt, identifying in the subject the right he intends to exercise. The Data Owner also has the right to complain to the Control Authority (National Data Protection Commission – www.cnpd.pt).
2. Period of retention of collected data:
The personal data collected on this website will be kept for the amount of time strictly necessary for the purpose that determines its use, up to a limit of 3 years, and MACHADO & MONTEIRO, LDA. may keep them for different determined periods if such other periods are established in new interactions that result in the conclusion of a contract between the data owner and MACHADO & MONTEIRO, LDA., or the need for data processing arises from other legal purposes.
